Hey guys

For all you night owls,,there will part of a new Alfa Romeo TV commercial being done in Maquarie st Sydney, this Sunday morning from 1am to 4 am approx, and weather permitting,I guess
I have to be there with one of the cars
You did not hear it from me
You were just cruising past, doing the doof doof George st,,Kings Cross run,,and stumbled across it .

Cant spell my name this time= too tired. :-X

giulia_veloce

Well,,it did happen
Lots of standing around

Started at the fish market
Then drove to Mauarie st at midnight
They did about 20 goes at the shoot
Dunno what was more nicer to see= the cars or the models LEGS
Anyway,,you will have to wait to see the add on TV.
Then a police escort through busy Sydney city streets
Dunno how many of you follow road rules, but going through 20 odd red lights was fun.
So many people saying= hey mate,,nicaaaaa car mateeeeee.
Took the car back to its resting place, via George st,Parramatta rd etc.
A relief

Anyway,,met Rick Bates= Australian rally car driver
He couldnt keep his eyes off the car,and I invited him to sit in it.
Then it came= His first car was  Giulia super
How many times have you heard that from people
Ricks story can be told another time
Did I mention LEGS ???????

+1 on the spider. It will be interesting to see what it looks like . I've heard it lives wrapped in mattresses & blankets deep in Rob's garage.

colcol

Rick Bates first car was a Giulia Super, most likely looks upon it with fond memories,...now that he has to drive a Toyota Lexus, not an add with 2 girls going around a roundabout eating little round chocolates off the dashboard?, Colin.

Is this the new add that I just saw on TV but can't find anywhere on the net. Mustic track with the lyric 'king of the night'? Fantastic add lots of great classic alfas.

nath

answered my own question in part, the sound track is Gin Wigmore's "Kill of the Night" which can be found on her album 'Gravel & Wine'. The other tracks are not too bad either.

Apparantly the video of the add will be up on YouTube at the end of the week.

Still waiting for the Australian Commercial to be uploaded on you tube.

Until then this Link to a UK running commercial that has a similar concept.

I think the Australian commercial is better!

Pretty sure the current Jonny Walker TV commercial is using the 'Kill of the night' music as the soundtrack?
Isn't that a little,... Peculiar?
