Wow. $7500 off a new Giulietta.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4-litre turbo Distinctive manual dropped from $36,990 to $29,350; twin-clutch auto now $31,350 (was $38,990)
Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2.0-litre turbo diesel Distinctive dual-clutch auto now $35,250 (down $5740)
Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8-litre turbo Quadrofoglio Verde (QV) manual is now $39,150 (was $41,990)
Alfa Romeo MiTo Progression 1.4-litre twin-clutch auto cut from $31,990 to $25,200 (down $6790)Alfa Romeo MiTo Distinctive 1.4-litre twin-clutch auto dropped from $34,990 to $27,100 ($7890 less)
Alfa Romeo MiTo QV 1.4-litre turbo manual cut from $34,990 to $30,000 (down $4990)

It will be interesting to see how this reflects "current" prices of new cars on car sales, let alone those used car values.

If you purchased a Mito or Giulietta last week you would be pretty upset.

On the other hand, it makes the brand more price competitive.

Prices are much more reasonable now compared to before. Feel sorry for dealers who still need to move ateco stock hence why there is still a mito for $44k on carsales. 30k for a mito qv with 170bhp sounds like good value. Hopefully they squeeze in the 500turbo into the fiat line up for ppl who dont want the hardcore abarth and the 2cyl doesn't do it for them.
