I take it the driver is ok barring the associated disappointments as we aren't talking about them in the past tense 

Certainly highlights how important safety equipment is on the track considering the multitude of out of left field failures can send you into the unknown. Absolutely heart wrenching to see. Even more so for the guys that put in their time and effort to get the ad on the track. Hope the damage looks worse than what it is

 Geez i hate seeing that, 10x worse than driver error. On a reflective note, what type of wheels are they? are there cracks in the other wheels?

Justin will be able to confirm this, Some one told me that the brake caliper broke free of the mount and probably got wedged between the wheel spokes causing them to break, very nasty indeed.
