G'day,
Just a quick few lines to say hi. I now have a 87 2.5L 75 in the shed. Its undergoing a slight transformation as it will end up being a dirt rally car (to compliment the tarmac Celica GT4 rally car thats also in the shed)  :D

Ohhh, that Celica is very nice.

You seen a red Alfetta with black bonnet and boot getting around up that way?  Would love to know what happened to Mario II, the guys that bought it were planning on doing some khanacross in it.

Luckyphil

yes I know of the car, I have not made it to any dirt events for a while but the car has been active, I have been told

Welcome!  They look good in white!  What plans do you have for the car?  Engine wise, suspension etc.?

The front seats look like they've been retrimmed in leather? You shouldn't have much trouble selling them.  Are the roof racks screwed to the roof?

We are just stripping the car back at the moment initially we will use it as a club car doing Khanacross's and the like.
My eldest is 16 and learning to drive so she is going to learn car control in a safe environment 8)
As such there are no huge plans of major rebuilds and $$$ on go fast goodies (thats what the Celica is for!!)
Just going to be a fun family weekend car.
but it runs well and everything works apart from the rear brakes (separate post in technical forum).
Roof rack looks like they screwed into the roof  :-\
going to finish the car in Martini colours

Wow - would be fantastic to hear that the car has been put to good use.  The rally tyres were still half decent, and it came with a couple of good camp chairs and the best esky in the world.

If you see it around, let us know it's fate.  Damn I fell in love with that shitbox.

Your celica looks awesome, too.

After doing the Vic club motorkhana on dirt last weekend, I'm quite interested in doing some khanacross or an introductory trial.  Looks like a lot of fun.
