As some of you may have read in the club magazine, Rob Cantle and I have been mates since high school - that's 30 odd years. So I definitely feel obliged to reveal a conflict of interest in recommending his Alfetta race car that he currently has for sale on this forum (link above).

However, this car is a @#$%ing bargain!!! Yes, something is up with the engine. It could be a head gasket, it could be the inlet manifold gasket, who knows until you have a look. BUT, at $5,500, which is the price Rob just dropped it to, this car represents amazing value. It presents beautifully in base white, has all the right bits in the suspension, gearbox and engine (apart from whatever the gremlin is) and sports a whole bunch of new gear including the seat, harness, window net, blah, blah, blah.

If you've ever considered taking a crack at the track this car makes an amazingly cheap entry point.

Cheers, Brent

Thanks Brent. I am biased also, but I really do believe this car is a great opportunity for someone to enter racing, or a great platform for a competitive racer for the experienced racer. It has been a Labour of love, and anyone in Queensland Alfa racing circles knows I have put a lot into it. Oh, and Choderboy is spot on...an awesome set of wheels ;-)

The car is way too good not to be racing.

Just letting everyone know I have dropped the price to $4500.00

I think that is a ridiculous bargain. Gotta go and wait by the phone now...expecting it to go off now :-)

Well, it couldn't sit forever. The little sedan is now at its new owners awaiting a few bits to be sorted and it will back rotating soon.
