I think there were a couple of Alfa 6s imported into Australia.

Anybody know where they are now?

There's one at a panel shop in inner city Brisbane that I know about, hasn't moved in years

I saw an Alfa 6 in Perth some years, then owned by a now deceased Club member but I don't know of its current location or status. Perhaps one of the Perth members might know.

There was a late series Alfa 6 for sale in WA not too long ago on gumtree... looked to be in good condition.

Ahh yes, the original rear wheel drive 164, I want one, there was on e-bay a couple of years ago that had been hit in the rear, I was about to make contact to sort out picking it up but it dissapeared, anyone know where it went?

Off memory it was silver

Can you grab a picture or two of the one in Brisbane and post it, I may be interested in it dependent on price, anyone else know of definate ones out there in Australia?  :)

Are you interested in getting one Four90s?

You know me VeeSix.

If it's a sedan and a V6 I'm there. I'd like to have one just 'cause they are so rare.

No, but I've got the bits to make a DOHC 3.0 litre, which I'm thinking of putting in my original 90 Super.

I think that would make a Potenziata look a bit....um...er. Not sure what to say without causing offence. Lets say It'll be the ultimate Alfa 90.

Steve, I think the only thing going for the Potenziata is the better 3.73:1 diff ratio. Not so low as the 4.1 TS ratio but better suited to performance than the original 3.55 ratio.
On paper, the engine is a non event. Got a few more horses than the original 3 litre, but nothing that can't be easily bettered with some TLC of any other 3 litre. The Motronic system is certainly nothing to get excited about either, but is obviously better than the old Jetronic.
The full system from a 24 valve 164 would be a much better system to implement into a car.

What is the chassis number prefix for the Alfa Sei?  Is it a '116' car?

Granted I own a S1 90, but I think comparisons of the 90 to the 75 are often misdirected.  The 75 was meant to be a sports sedan, the 90 an executive express.  So complaining about the higher gearing of the S1 90 misses the point.

Don't forget the GTV6 got different gearing over the years too.  Mine had the higher gearing but it was barely adequate when I lived in the NT, with few corners and no open-road speed limits.

Certainly the case, which made it very unusual that you could get an auto in the 75, but not the 90.  I usually bag out the higher gearing of the GCL 90, but gee it was handy when I drove the shitbox 90 from Melbourne to Perth.  Even a knackered old thing like that could sit at 180 with very little effort, and felt like it had a fair bit more left in it.

I remember that one, I think it was on carsales in Melbourne from memory, I think I posted a link to it on here.  Hope it didn't go to god.
