Thought I'd start a new thread - feel free to add the obscure parts from our cars.

I'll kick this off with a part I found the other day and thought - 'great! I was looking for that!'

Evan Bottcher

Ben Lexcen moonlighting for Autodelta?

I have no idea.  It's not from an Alfasud or a mk1 1750 GTV - I think I can tell you that much.

Off the top of the heater control panel. Next!

pancho

ahh, Entesano wins. Ok, you post the next part.

But before you go - what does it do ?

ItalCarGuy

Well that I don't know! seems kinda useless to me. To hang your gold chains on?

pancho

It's what holds the top of the heater panel to the bottom of the dash. Its a big wingnut as you're likely to have to undo it blindly and a screw driver wouldn't be easy to use in that position.

Gold chains - hang them from the mirror together with the CD.  8)

Im gonna go with Dereks first guess

Bump stop pad. Part of the front suspension A-arms.

Interestingly my super had those bump stop pads fitted, but there's no corresponding bump stop rubber that would strike them as the '66 had the conical bump stops inside the spring coils....

Took them off anyway when this happened...
