Miss Alfa Sprint

Hi Everyone  :)

I have just uploaded my photos from today to my website http://marisagangemi.com/galleries/sandown-11th-of-august-2013/ui/690133128520783bf17f45

It was good to be back taking photos again, I have been sick for the past few months and missed quite a few events, apologies for being late today I have only just recovered from having surgery and didn't realise the date had changed  :-[

I hope you still enjoy the photos!

Might as well extend the one thread for some video from yesterday.  I got practice in the morning, and then a couple of runs in the afternoon and failed to set the world on fire - but the video is interesting for the difference in speed between the Sud and the 105s of Adriano and Vince.  The poor old Sud really hits a brick wall as it tries to climb the back straight.

Great driving as usual Evan. I hope you can't read all that data logging during a session. It would drive me nuts pulling 159.999999 klms down the main straight 6 laps in a row . Have you tried winding down the window and banging on the door to see if it can go just that bit faster.

Good driving from new punter Adrian in the 105 to let you through  ( his first time at the track ) . A new driver will learn a heap  more following you for a lap  rather than looking in his rear vision mirror trying to keep you behind.

The secret is to put Sheldon in the car... I've always struggled to be quick straight away at Sandown, takes me a couple of sessions to grow the bolts required to tackle turn one and the back straight properly.  Not so Sheldon.  They say the sign of raw talent is just jumping in the car and going quick...

Gee, I thought he broke it after that first  time. It didn't sound to good going up the back straight.

I think the secret is the obvious weight advantage Sheldon has with the lighter helmet. (LOL)

Great photos Marisa!

You probably already know which ones are my favourites.

You shot the curves of the 1900 magnificently in 1 ,12 and 39.

Plenty of good shots there for the mag!

After p*ss-f#rting around with Dashware program on and off for the past week (sort of worked previously), gave it the flick and on Evan's recommendation, bought the Race Renderer program.

A bit late than never, but here's a few laps in the SZ.  The brakes were a bit soft so being a bit cautious and backing off early.  Just wanted to see what it went like in a straight line and around corners!!  :)

Just watched that again - so awesome to see a couple of SZs on the track, after years of not seeing them in Australia at all!  Hugh was doing impressive times in the 1900 - did that have a video camera in it?

I don't reckon I'll be taking it onto the track too often...coz I DON'T FIT!  With the stack hat on, my head was hard up against the roof lining at an odd angle.  So I had to have the seat in a reclined possie so as I could fit and was stretched for the gear changes. Not comfy!

Yes!  I think there was a borrowed one from the Aarons'.

That's brilliant Victor - great to see these cars out on the track. Wonder how often you see a SZ doing 160km/h plus these days!

Well done to you, Hugh and Phil for getting these cars out for a run like this.

Finally got over my technological issues. I borrowed another camera as mine was in the 1900!

Fastest lap for the day. 1.28.4

Cheers!
