Hi everybody, so I went to the festival of Italian motorsport a few months back at Lakeside, Qld and got re-hooked on Alfas - thanks everybody for putting on a great show, it was excellent. It's been over 6 years since I parted with my '83 Giulietta so in moving forward, my '84 GTV should arrive before the weekend. Will post up a pic or 2 when she arrives if anybody wants a look - I've already been pinching heaps of info off here so thanks for all the tips :)

Hi mate,

Great to hear the Festival inspired you to hunt down another Alfa. Congratulations on the purchase. Looking forward to seeing your pics of the GTV.

The 2014 Festival of Italian Motorsport will be back at Lakeside next September. In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled to the club calendar for events between now and then. If  you'd like to join the club, just download the form from the AROCA Qld website and follow the prompts.

Cheers,

Brent Hampstead

Here's one from before she left Tas.  Got a bit filthy on the truck and I haven't had time to bath her yet.

The 75 is probably a better car, but the look of these things is a big part of the attraction.

Al, the 75 was certainly in the mix.  Took the pic below as a kid and often dreamed about becoming CB's teammate to take on the Sierras & GTO's.

Have had a 116 before tho and know a little about staying out of trouble with them........ and I guess I'm a sucker for the lines of the GTV.

Not sure I'd try to duplicate his 'hung out to dry wide line' tho  8)

Maybe it handles that good he's driving around the outside of the pack?

Finally got around to a wash, a service and some minor tweaks. Roadworthy this week and then officially a Qld car. Fingers crossed.
