There is a mechanic on Youtube called Scotty Kilmer, and he has film clips on fixing various bits on cars, just type in his name and it comes up.
He has a half hour TV show on a saturday in America, on what looks like a specialiality station, and the subject goes for about 30 minutes, but most go for about 3-4 minutes.
He has been fixing cars for over 40 years, and covers everything from changing radiators, power windows, clutches, starter motors, fuel pumps, broken door handles, water pumps, etc, you name he has done it, and if he hasn't done a film clip, you can request it.
He has a sense of fun and humor and enjoys working on cars.
I don't know what he would make of a Selespeed, as they were not sold in America.
He also says when something is really stupid, like the new BMW's with their plastic inlet manifolds and plastic water pipes, that will be brittle and leak in a few years,....just like twin sparks and JTS's, and the bonehead idea of the year award, he awarded to the Engineers at BMW, with their newer cars which don't have engine oil dipsticks, but rely on a sensor that tells you you need oil, thats if its still working, and i am not making this up.
Also he has a clip on why you shouldn't have a new Mercedes Benz, with stories on how complicated they are for the sake of being high tech, with some of his customers not knowing what half the buttons on the dashboard do, and he gives an example of servicing costs of $900 for an oi land filter change.
When you need a bit of entertainment, and you have a few spare hours up your sleeve, check him out, Colin.
