Hey guys

I've been trying to unravel something and someone on AlfaBB suggested I try here

I read somewhere the 116 Giuliettas had smaller uprights to (possibly to accommodate the smaller 13" rims they might have come with) and this allegedly mucks around with the roll centre and you end up with slightly off front geometry.
Now, I've gotta pull the front suspension apart soon to do the bottom ball joints and if they are in fact different it'd be a perfect opportunity to throw a set on and see if it helps the understeer the car suffers from at the moment. The uprights on my '81 Giulietta are roughly 249mm, if anyone wants to jump under their cars and give the uprights a quick measure that'd be infinitely helpful.

Cheers,
-Lloyd

My impression is they are different. I not sure if is the length. I thought the position of the steering link was different. You might want to measure the distance of that from one end.

A 75 upright measures 249mm from the top of the top ball joint boss to the bottom of the bottom ball joint boss.
If you want to sort out your front suspension geometry, go with a set of Vin Sharp's/Pace Engineering's Long Shank Top Ball Joints.
