Carby Specialist

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a carby specialist that can work their magic on my GTV with modified cams?

I live in south eastern suburbs of Melb so hopefully there is a place nearby that someone has tried and is happy with.

Will a regular Alfa specialist be able to do the same thing as a carb specialist or is it worth bringing it to them?

Joe, You could try Corrado or Seb at Mauceri Motors, 9 Meriton Place Clayton 9543 6466. May be closed for the Christmas break though. Good luck

Hi Barry,

Thanks for that - believe it or not, I actually had them in mind when I created this post.

I have had a bit of bad history when it comes to servicing my gtv but have heard great things about these guys.

I guess I am really after a genius when it comes to tuning carbs because the last guy did a pretty bad job of it.

How did you go with this? Best thing to do is put it on a dyno to tube it. Benincas can help there. Also seen a few fiats and alfas going to jpc in thomasown for tuning because they have a dyno. Ettore massa from bolide rosso is supposed to be very good. Never used them but a mate swears by his work.

I know two folks who've had very good results with Phil at Bits Of Italy if Dandenong is any closer for you.   Will set the car up on a dyno with O2 sensor etc and jet the car for you.   He's also willing to have a go with alternative engine management systems, which makes him flexible.
