This time I introduce you to a little known gentleman from the province of Pisa, Italy. Vincenzo Marciano that created his own dream car with a crashed Alfa Montreal for an engine, a Ferrari 250LM front windscreen, 105 GTAm wheels etc.

He started this project for a car design contest when he had 23yrs, a mechanic who wished Alfa Romeo had made, after the TZ2 and before the mid engine 33 Stradale, a front engine successor to the TZ2...he named his hand made tubular framed, aluminium bodied, four twin throat Weber carb dream car...the 268A (2.6Lt, 8 cylinder, A for anteriore = front).

He is a true artisan in the traditional history of Italian coachbuilders.
PS in saying that, true to form he missed the cutoff for the contest and thus it took another 18yrs to complete ;D

If you want to hear the engine (who wouldn't) here;

If you understand Italian here is an interview but there is lots of footage to look at anyway;

Enjoy.
The Alfa Romeo heritage "rinascimento" (renaissance) continues in each and every new model...the first "rinascimento" being 1915.
