Alfa 75 passenger to drivers seat swappage?

Hi folks,

Has anyone swapped the seat cushions from a passenger seat to a drivers seat on a 75?  I have one crap drivers seat, and one spare perfect passengers seat.  Looks like I can change the seat base easily enough, but the recline mechanism is attached to the frame of the seat which extends into the cushion itself.
