Drove home tonight , and noticed my low beams "flickering" on/off. Checked my fuses and they looked O.K. High Beams and parkers all work . I am thinking it might be the stalk/switch. Has anyone had the same problem?

Had the same problem back with my strada,  I found if I played around with the stalk it would flicker them on and off, got quite annoying at times! However only happened when my high beams were on.

Check connectors at the front end could be corroded if it's in the stalk a resolder and clean may be in order

Thanks gtv6s and alfa pride, will take advice and give it ago.

Yes, it sounds most likely a connection problem. However, I would also strongly suggest installing a relay on the ignition and the lights. This reduces the load going through the stalk and the ignition which is often a cause of failure (burning out).

As a bonus you get much better, brighter headlights and if you do the ignition many other flow on effects i.e. faster wipers, electric windows etc.

Sorry John

My phone did not ring.Did you forget the number ?

Just busy and was watching state of origin.
Go the BLUES.

Anyway, the above people have answered the question for you.
Ign switch relay and headlight relays is the way to go.
Maybe the combination switch is too far gone by now,but can be fixed or replaced.

I will only talk to if the car has the 15 inch Simmons wheels on the car.
If it has those ugly 17 inch wheels,,im too busy.
You GTV is one of the best in the country,,so lets keep it that way.
