Watch the rear-view (upper right).  Speedo in MPH, don't know why, it displays KPH on the dash...

OOUCH !!!!!

Stuart ,

Nice to see you have coaxed the Junior back into life. Someone said you given up and buried it in the backyard.

I had the best (worst) view, I was driving the gta that decided it didn't want to play anymore off the line ( what a time for it to die on me ), I didn't hear any warning over the radio when I didn't get away, but everyone behind me did brilliantly to miss me.

I feel for Paul Murrey in the Sud, I spoke to him last night and he is ok, that's the main thing.

Cheers

What happened to the car Dave?  I was not that far behind and way off to the left so I had plenty of room....but I did worry about you being stranded there and all those still behind that were unaware.

Not sure why that wasn't announced on our race radios if I'm honest??  Or the slow to get away 147 in the restart for that matter.

The race before I had a missive brake loss coming onto the straight and went country driving, what we found out since was that, that excursion must of made the battery come loss in the battery box, and when I launched off the line, the battery moved and pulled the wire out of the terminal.

Here's a view of that race start from my car, have to admit it scared the crap out of me.  Glad I was well to the right of the track by the time I saw Dave's car.

Hi Dave,

I have that one on video as well...

Don't loose it around my car, as you can see, there's plenty of video footage of what's going on around me.

Cheers

I've seen Neil's footage of the race start and it scared the absolute shit out of me.

I hope he puts it up, because it shows how quickly things can happen!

Dna Dave

Wow Neil,

That's the scariest one I've seen so far, great job of avoiding me

I said it earlier and I'll say it again.

You are a very lucky man Neil Choi!

Quite a few categories have rolling start for this exact reason.
IMO if you have a big field you should have a rolling start to stop people building up speed from way back in say 40th position and hitting some stationary car bogged down at the start.
We have all seen the yellow Mazda rotary in group N compressed at PI a couple of years back in similar scenario.
