Hi all,

I'm looking at a 156 and I'm after some general advice on what to look for before I buy.  I believe that the mileage is approaching timing belt change time, if it hasn't been done already, but is there anything else I should be looking for.

Also, it has lovely low-profiles on it (I just know I'm going to get a slagging for this) but for medical reasons, the ride is going to be too hard & I may regretfully have to switch them out; I take it I'll have to change the alloy size if I do?

Timing belt change on 4 cylinders, 3 years or 50,000 - 60,000 klms.
Oil changes must be done on time, 10-40 for twin spark, 10-60 for JTS, fully synthetic oil only.
Low profile tyres may affect speedo accuracy and insurance and potential roadworthy.
Have the car checked out by an Alfa Romeo Specialist, see Banner for Alfa Club Supporters.
Get a manual if possible, less to go wrong, no fully automatic available with 4 cylinders.
Good auto on V-6 and glorious sound as well, Colin.
