Hi all

I am thinking that perhaps now is the time to consider selling two of my Alfas.

First off is my restoration project '69 Giulia Super (Biscione model).  I bought it out of Melbourne.  Marco Fazio confirmed the selling details to me that it was first sold in Melbourne.  It was plum in colour but extremely rusty when I bought it.  I had it completely stripped down and rust cut out with new metal let in, cills, bottom of guards, etc etc.  It has had new (unrusty) doors put onto it.  From memory I have spent approx. $4K on such bodywork etc

The gearbox was completely overhauled, $1100 in parts alone.  The dash with earlier '67 type instruments was done, including new wood panels (blackwood veneers).  New rear parcel shelf, and heaps of new (rubbers, lights, snakebite headlining etc) and good condition 2nd hand parts have been acquired for it (Classic Alfa etc).  It has bumpers, glass and all trim (black interior in good condition - '67 style) to be included.   I don't have an engine for it.

It is a project, and the paint (cobalt blue) was never completed and is in lousy condition.  It was a poor paint job and as the car has sat for many years now under covers it is knackered.  So the paintwork would need to be stripped back.

It will need full suspension, brakes overhaul etc etc.  As it is not going it would need to be trailered away.  I was intending on completing its restoration but as I have acquired a 1300 Ti which I am slowly working on as a rolling restoration, I think it would be best to let this Giulia go to someone who would wish to restore it for road use or perhaps alternatively as a race/classic rally car.  The options are there.

Price happy to discuss, what ever might be fair.  Have photos of it and can take more if anyone is interested.

Next off is my '03 156 manual Sportwagon.   Gabbiano metallic blue with charcoal leather interior.  I am the 2nd owner, I bought it from a dealer in Sydney in Nov 2007 for $20K with 89,500 km on the clock. It now has approx. 134, 500 km on the clock.

I have all receipts and books for the car.  While owned it has always been serviced by an Alfa specialist here (Fogarty Automotive).  Timing belts, water pump etc have been changed, thermostat, Lambda sensors (4), Bilstein B4 shocks, upper and lower control arms, drop links, new battery.  Has Pirelli P7s.

Overall the car is still in very tidy condition, but consistent with its age it has some patina, minor scratches, chipping of paintwork on the front bumper, side skirts, a couple of very minor tiny dents.  It comes with the Bose sound system which is superb.

I am just about to have it serviced as this is due.   In overall terms it has been extremely reliable, it is comfortable, economical, looks great and is a very practical car.  Only reason I am considering selling it as I think I would like to try having a 916 GTV6.  If I don't sell it, I am not too fussed.

Asking price, $6500.  Again I have photos of this and can take more if anyone is interested.  Ph:  0419565786 or PM me.  I can send you my private email address to discuss further.

And yes I am in Hobart.  Cheers Dave
