Just wanted to say hello to everyone here..

As someone with a Jeep background - wrangler TJ and Cherokees, I am a total newbie to Alfa and the contrast between the two could not be greater.

Had a chance to drive a 147 a few months ago, and well. had difficulty returning it to the owner!

There started my curiosity and search for an alfa.  Despite strong-worded advice from various folks NOT to buy one, I finally got my hands on a 147 Monza, and my wife would not let go if it!

anyway, hope to speak to more of you soon around here sometime.

thanks for the welcome.

I am finding that my alfa now provides me a very different driving experience to suit my moods!

red-hot tj you have there.  I have moved away from live axles to things a tad softer like the grand cherokee.. age is catching up!

I learned on the weekend that the current Jeep Cherokee is built on a LWB version of the Fiat Compact Platform, the same platform as the current Alfa Giulietta.  Cousins!  (Although I'm inclined to think the Jeep is the retarded cousin, but that's just my opinion!  ;))
