Hi, I'm Wayne and new to the Owners Club after buying a 156 JTS. I have just had an error message appear "Motor Control System Failure". The car drives fine and other forums suggest a few reasons for the error code, starting with weak battery signal to coil issues and everything in between, Can anyone suggest somewhere on the Gold Coast where I could a diagnostic check for the error? Any suggestions advice greatly appreciated.

Mine started to misfire and throw up the Motor Control Failure warning, turned out it was the Lambda sensors that were dirty, they start to go bad around 100,000 klms, have the Alfa Romeo Scan Tool put on it, and if it has a few error codes, have them erased, as one error code can set off another, then it can work out what the primary cause is, Colin.

Wayne, several owners in the Gold Coast area have been asking for help with diagnostics over the last week or so. I have the FULL regime of diagnostic software & hardware for all  Alfas, and am a Diagnostic specialist.

I do an "on site" service based from Capalaba in Brisbane. However, as I am travelling to the Gold Coast Airport very early Saturday morning to do some avionic system analysis I am making myself available for the rest of the day (9.00am onwards) to anyone who requires any work done on an Alfa.

This includes any diagnostic/fault tracing & all non MAJOR repairs or servicing.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP to discuss work & problems.
