Hi Folks, my original 1985 windscreen has developed a crack. I am in need to buy a windscreen with the aerial so I can replace it back into my GTV.
Does anyone have one ?

Back in the olden days you could buy stick on aerials that were kind of like the old Smiths stick on rear windscreen demister, but they were smaller.
Have a look on ebay and see if you can still buy them.
Depending on who you talk to, the rear window demister can be used as a radio aerial, such as on the 156, the bee sting aerial is for AM or FM and the rear window demister is also for AM or FM, some say to turn on FM and then turn on the demister and see if it affects the signal.
Some of the things that you can buy on ebay are like a trip back in time, such as electronic heaters and rubber static straps, a stick on aerial is not too far from reality, Colin.

Checked on ebay, you can still buy 'stick on' windscreen aerials, they state on the blurb, that they are for replacing aerials in broken windscreens replacements that don't have the original aerial, Colin.

Maybe the op wanted a genuine windscreen to keep it stock looking or in concourse condition? I wish someone would reproduce the oem windscreen with the proper aerial in the windscreen. Would also be interested if someone has a brand new or nos screen :)

John and I have spoken re the windscreen in the '84 car I am breaking.

The windscreen in the car I am breaking is the correct one and in VCG.

His car and my own car appear have chassis numbers very close to each other... Last batch of GTV 2.0s brought out to Aus. My plating date is 11/85. There were supposed to be some '86 plated 2.0 cars even though they did not comply to ADR 37/--.

I bought one earlier this year from Jaycar.  Works quite well, but not quite as good as an outside one.
