flat spot fix !

Ever noticed even after having the carbies rebuilt or re kitted that it has a slight flat spot
or just lacks a little punch
Well it has recently come to my attention that there are kits and there are kits
DO not buy the generic kit keep it Dellorto for the following reasons
Yes even some mechanics will use the generic so supply the parts !
to start with, the accelerator diaphram they make 3 types 1 size does NOT fit all
there are 5 spring tensions very important to get the right one generally on the pollution carbs ie g,h L they use the small plunger with a stiff spring as opposed to E and F which use a soft spring and a large plunger ( this is in general please check your own)
the non genuine diaphram uses a different material and is not nearly as durable
also the non genuine if you look closely is about a 1mm shorter on the plunger
BIG issue!! yes this can cause a flat spot coupled with the wrong other bits the carby will become a PIG
So unless you love pigs take note and repair with caution
ps I like pigs but not in cars
