Well, we bought this and the first version but of course yanks run different BluRay format (50 frames per second vs 60 frames per second)  to the UK and Australia so it doesn't play on our US bought player. So until I find a player that runs both AND converts the output to the U.S. format, it's paper weight. .

I imagine if we had a good road like that,in Australia the speed limit would go up and down to confuse you so the authorities, could take plenty of photo's to fill the coffers, [for road safety only], Colin.

Kinda, it will be ruined by being signposted 60 and 80km/h and filled with Toyota's doing 40 and 60km/h respectively, as I found out and frustrated by, today.  But you are wrong about the photo's, you will never be speeding because you will be staring at the fugly ass of a Toyota.

 Neil, I think you are being a little harsh. There is nothing wrong with Toyotas, just the people that drive them. Some of the newer ones actually drive quite well and whilst they are no Alfa Romeo they can be hustled along quite quickly.

I have said to my wife that if I ever hint at the suggestion buying a Toyota, she was to take the BFH and tap me hard on the back of the head.

I remember going along this section of coastline some years back, staying in Amalfi on account of my younger sister getting married up in the hills (hilltop town) above Amalfi.

Sadly, I too only got to go down this section of road in a bus and a boring rental car. 

But it is a fabulous coastline.

I think I'll leave the Toyota thing alone for now but back on topic the Amalfi coast is truly amazing, I travelled along it last year. As great as our Great Ocean Road is the road along Amalfi Coast is at another level, it almost makes our road look very ordinary.

I did Amalfi by Alfa a couple of years ago - rented a 1963 Giulietta Spider. Was terriffic. Lovely little car - heroic little single carb 1300...
