Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good place/method to restore the timber look dash for a 1600 GTV. It must be as close to the original as possible (i.e. plastic shrunk vinyl).

I am not doing this part of the work, but would like to point the owner/trimmer in the right direction.

Years ago, I used some stuff I think I bought at a craft shop and applied it with a heat gun. It looked a treat until the car was left in the sun on a really hot day. It then started to return to its original shape. I ended up using an fake antique paint process (but did not look as good).

Ciao LukeC,
Note that the only company who can vacuum wrap the wood veneer onto GT1600 dashboards in Sydney is ProStitch in Calton, ask for John (02) 9547 3424.
