Up for Sale is my 1985 GTV 2.0lt.

Been a daily driver for the past 4 years and has a genuine 259,000kms on the clock.

She's had a head gasket leak for a little while which has progressed to the point that it needs to be taken care of and I've simply lost the motivation to keep the old girl running and planning to upgrade to something a little more modern. Oil pressure has dropped off a little and she has a tendency to run hot; thus I parked her up mid december while I thought about whether I wanted to rebuild or move on.
Sadly the starter motor has not enjoyed the park up and she won't key start at this point. Roll starts fine and actually drives reasonably, although mostly because I live in the country don't have to deal with suburban issues like traffic and stop lights. She needs rear brake pads badly, and probably fronts by now too.
There are a few cosmetic issue such as a broken door handle and a missing piece of running trim and a couple of small dings. Rust is present in the front right A pillar and in the passenger door around the wing mirror.
On the positive side she has a gearbox which has been rebuilt around 2000 (no crunching into 2nd gear), and the interior is in reasonable nick for a car of her age (apart from a bit of splitting on the door side of the driver's seat). Items such as interior lights and driver electric door mirror still work so electrics not completely shot.
The registration runs out on March 12, and while she does drive (took her out for an hour last weekend) if you were returning to suburbia I wouldn't recommend it due to the head gasket issue.
She would be a decent basis for a project in my opinion. Prefer to see her go to an alfa person and will keep the ad up here until the rego runs out, then will broaden my base.
