In reassembling the interior of the 1980 GTV I was left with these two identical plastic bushings, any idea where they might fit?

Complete guess, rear window winder bushes? :o

GTVeloce

Hm, I recently pulled apart two 83 GTV's and never saw that part. Al might be on to something but I don't think the rear windows. Possibly the front windows? I have electric windows which may explain why I don't recall them.

The only other place I can think they may have been is under the seat belt anchorages, especially the stalks. I have bushes there but I thought they were smaller than yours.

Ross Flood

If they are a hard plastic they could be castor rod bushes from the front suspension. They fit either side of the body at the front of the rod.

They go under the seat rails/runners

I think..

haha

Thank you all for the response,  I will check the suggested positions this afternoon and advise on the outcome!

I thought so too but didn't say because it might not be as the spacers are usually flat on both sides, your's are hat shaped.

So I don't know neither.  Doesn't help, another useless post!!!

alfafarm

Hi Are they not from under the rear seat john

Where the locating pins go through under front of seat, right?

PS - Will have to figure out something about a reward for the last obscure question you answered :)

the diameter of the centre-hole is too small for the seat-belt and seat rail bolts  :(, it is also too small for the window crank shaft  :o  ... uhmmmm

Like alfa farm and Darryl said, I'm pretty sure the pins under the rear seat squab sit in them where the pins sit in the body.

aggie57, I have already installed the two white plastic inserts that provide the "socket" into which the two seat locating pins insert ....
