From memory  i had made a little flanged adapter to go to a pod style filler coming directly off the Air flow meter, eventually the plan was to get rid of the original Air flow meter and put a more modern hot wire type in its place, but sold the engine before i got that far.

I had a pod filter initially in the 116 TS but it was terrible for road use. Would have been fine on the track but stop at the lights and when you go to take off it just sucks all the hot air from the engine bay. Like Colin said it was just a cheap adaptor from any auto parts store and then the pod. I also fabricated some bent aluminium between the adaptor and the AFM to work as a bracket.

I eventually hacked at the back of an original air filter until it fitted and then siliconed some neoprene to the back and that works perfectly. Maybe one day I would like to fabricate something bespoke out of fibreglass.

THanks guys,

if I rework the lower half of the 75 air filter housing, relocate the coils and thermostat there is a slight chance it will fit... it will need a short extension piece between the throttle and afm though... would look good, might be worth the effort.

I've driven it with no air cleaner at all, just the square pipe on the afm... sounded fantastic!
