Too hot?

Sounds broadly right, on the assumption that it is just your gauge showing a higher temp. According to the gauge in my V6 156, the fan comes on when the needle gets just over 90 (I would guess around 93-95), and stops when it gets back to 90.

But my fan definitely comes on well before the needle gets as high as it is showing on your gauge, and shuts off as soon as the needle is back at 90.

That's about the same as my JTS.  It annoys me too :)  I wondered if my slow fan speed relay wasn't coming on, only the fast speed - but I've tested it and it operates correctly.

Check the thermostat and while it is out take out the coolant temperature sensor and clean it, then give the thermostat a cook in a saucepan and see if its opening ok, then change the coolant, Colin.

Yes, that was weak thermostats. Which was unable to maintain temperature. Wasn't opening or closing on right temperature. Found in another temperature test at Alfa men.
Matt said it wasn't bad. But I get it replaced anyway. Now temperature goes to 90 and stays there. Even on freeway. It used to drop to 80 but not anymore. And same on traffic lights doesn't go to 98 anymore. [emoji2]
