ALFASUD Front engine mount repair/replace?

My front engine mount has split/separated between the rubber and the upper metal part. It's seems to be a fairly clean separation leaving a flat rubber surface and a clean metal surface. Anybody tried re-bonding these back together. Loctite 480 claims to be able to do this kind of rubber to metal bonding.

The alternative is to buy a replacement but I haven't found any new ones anywhere.

Any thoughts.

I didn't think they were hard to find, have you tried the usual local suppliers? Milano Spares, Turin Imports, Italian Automotive Spares, Spares Place.

Italian Automotive Spares in Brunswick also supplied me with New front suspension bushes for a 31 year old 33, next time the front engine mount splits due to oil leakage, i will know who to call, Colin.
