GTV6 Oil Cooler

I competed in a round of the Queensland Rally Championship last weekend in the ever reliable GTV6.  It was a very tight and twisty area with lots of second and third gear work.  Even though it was a cool day i was recording oil temperatures of 130deg C.  I use Penrite HPR15, and from what I can gather this is on the upper edge or just beyond what it should be.  So I am considering installing an oil cooler ahead of the summer months.  I am sure someone has done this before today, so has anyone any advice or pictures of how they did it and what they used?

I had to fit a remote filter when I added the oil cooler to my GTV because there wasn't enough clearance between the body and filter with a sandwich plate in there too.
But that meant I could switch to a more common (and less expensive) filter.
I used a 13 row cooler with -10 hoses, and made up a bracket from 50x25 al to mount it in front of the radiator.

I have to ask what was the water temp  at for the engine oil to hit `130?
and then would it help to increase the water cooling to offset the oil

Water temperature was not a problem, about 90deg C.

I should add that being a rally car it has a sump guard running below the engine, so the sump is shrouded from the air flow.

is this a particular problem to v6 models'
if driven hard
they have huge sumps
maybe a swiss cheese approach to the sump guard would help
not very italian I know but I cant think of an italian cheese
