2010 GT Cruise Control not working

Hi all ...... fairly recently acquired this car went to use the Cruise Control for the first time - turned the switch on dash light comes on ..... but that where things finish .... Lights on and nobody's home so to speak
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with this problem ?

Howdy, I have had his problem, fixed by fitting a new switch on the clutch and/or brake pedal that sends signal to the cruise control that the brakes are on and therefore not allowing cc to work.
Switches are cheap, and easily fitted by a contortionist.

Hi Rigi,

Try the clutch switch, it may have been pushed all the way in at some stage, just remove it and pull the centre pin out until it stops, it's plastic, so be a bit careful, but it will need a bit of force to get it out.  Then simply replace it, the switch will click a few times as it adjusts to the right position.

After that, also the brake switch, but the brake lights would be on all the time then as well.

If that doesn't work, a diagnostic plug and MultiECU scan are your friends.
