A bit far fetched.  Does anyone know what thread the lower control arm bolts are on a GTV6 are?  I have one stripped and a couple of others looking damaged.  I thought they were M12, but they are not.  They are marked as metric but they almost measure as 1/2".  Anyone know what they are and where to get replacements?

Metric fine , either M12 x 1.5mm or M12 x 1.25mm [Spark plug thread, but not unusual to see it used elsewhere].

Replacements need to be high tensile and fine thread. There's a thread on the AlfaBB about someone using standard 2mm pitch M12 and coming undone and if memory serves me, someone even snapped them heading into a corner.

Best bet. Find someone wrecking a car or pay the premium to get them from a Alfa parts place.

High tensile, but don't go too high on the bolt grade - you want them to bend, not break.
All 4 of my original ones were bent when I pulled them out.

Yes all sorted, got new M12 bolts after discussing with Richard Anderson.  Interestingly when I pulled the old ones out, one side was metric, the other (which had stripped) was 1/2".  Some interesting parentage there obviously.  Since it is a rally car changing them out might be part of annual servicing.

Thanks all
