Just caught the end of Cars that rock with Brian Johnson ( lead singer AC/DC) on Foxtel Discovery Turbo Channel 634. Featured marque is Alfa Romeo. The bits I saw were a segment on Alfa Romeo  history with Italian Police as a pursuit vehicle , good footage . Unbelievably he also gets to drive Tazio Nuvolari's Alfa Romeo P3.

Its replayed again tomorrow night at 7.30 pm. Well worth a look.

I watched it, and it was great, but sometime Brian should talk less and let his guests speak more. I find his over enthusiasm can be a bit grating at times.

Interesting segment on the link between Alfa and the Italian traffic police, with  chase demonstration in their 159s - though the footage made them look a bit pedestrian. It was also a bit over the top for him to claim that with 230-odd bhp, and bulletproof glass etc that they are quick enough to keep up with the baddest of bad boys!
Now:    2002 156 GTA
            1981 GTV
Before: 1999 156 V6 Q-auto
            2001 156 V6 (sadly cremated)

Modern filming, risk assesments, OH&S, insurance etc these certainly weren't pedestrian;

Alfetta & Alfasud (you can stop viewing after 3.23)

The Alfa Romeo heritage "rinascimento" (renaissance) continues in each and every new model...the first "rinascimento" being 1915.
