hmmmm
my exhaust drone is driving me nuts. Id be interested to see what comes from your experiments, meanwhile with the setup you just put together, in the first picture its hard to see how you did the mod.
Can you take another shot from the side to see where you attached that 180 degree bend?

I'm a bit confused. My GTV6 has no front resonators - not my idea - the rest of the system is stock down to a repo rear muffler from EB Spares. The car is noisier than stock but has all of the classic soulful wail that is unique to a 2.5 V6 Alfa. How someone got one to sound like a ricer is beyond me.

The standard system sounds fabulous and since every performance car has at least two exhaust pipes, more likely four, it seemed to me to be appropriate to eschew fashion and stick with the classic long chromed single exhaust pipe, which looks so good on a GTV6....

The even firing order, 60 degree V and the displacement of the Busso engine make for a wonderful combination that gives the Alfa V6 that unique sound. It is when trying to design a street legal exhaust they can be made to sound awful.
Car sounds are very subjective and the combination I have allows for what  I think is a tasteful sporty sound with cruising comfort the rasp is controlled during mid range acceleration and with no uncomfortable drone
If the wrong combination of diameters, lengths and mufflers is used the system can sound very ordinary like so many other cars getting around on a Saturday night. Some people like the sound of an automatic V6 with a straight through system
hhhhhM!!!!!HHHHHHmmmmm!!!!hhhhhHHHHHMMMMMmmmmMMMM ..............NOT ME

Well said, I am so over automatic six cylinder cars with straight through systems. I have a whole fleet of them that live around me. I don't know how these guys can even think that these things sound good. :o

Would rather an auto V6 straight through than any 4wd with straight through and a screamer pipe. Talk about awful!
