Common spots where the wiring harness rubs and earths out?

Guys
I may have an earthing problem  that presents first with the low brake fluid light coming on, followed by other electrical faults. See post on batteries for other probs.
My question is, has anyone had a similar problem due an earthing issue(maybe by wires rubbing their insulation off) and where was it earthing.

The most common place where the wires will rub through the insulation is anything going through the firewall. The cars are usually pretty free of "earthing out" problems elsewhere.

The only other problems, as mentioned above, is a loose connection to one of the main earth points.
