Andrew, I found another pic of that 156 taken from the front. It does look sweet.

Also found this Victorian 156 wagon with black wrapped roof which I think looks brilliant. The owner has a wrapping business, so it is a pretty good showpiece for his work. Anyone out there with peeling paint on their wagon should have a look.

Wow! That looks stunning. It definitely updates the look of the car and makes it more sporty. I can't wait to see yours when it's done.

I'll take some proper shots tomorrow, but for the money I'm happy.

The workshop guys sanded the part of the roof affected by the peeling clear coat but because it is high gloss black you can still just make out the edge of the peeled area in certain light.

Still better than having untreated peel, and I think it makes the car look pretty mean.

So the only thing I would do differently next time is either sand the entire roof back myself before taking it in, or go for carbon fibre look which might disguise imperfections in the underlying duco better. I would probably also now be prepared to have a go at wrapping it myself to save even more money.

A couple more pics. Really hard to do it justice with a phone camera, but I think it looks pretty sharp. For $300, a pretty cheap way to really update the look of your car. Or $100 if you  buy the wrap from Supercheap and do it yourself.

WOW!!! That looks so good! It does update the look of the 156 quite a lot and gives it a more 'meaner' stance. I also love the gloss black, much better than the satin finish I have.

One last pic - looks better in full sunlight. The longer I've had it, the happier I am with it. Really like the way it looks now, so I would recommend wrapping the roof in gloss black to anyone who is looking to make their 156 look a bit more contemporary.
