Just had a chat to Maranello in Melbourne about my car and they recommend I buy parts from the UK for upgrading my GTA. I was looking at Autolusso for a Q2 diff and calipers to go on some 330mm brake rotors up front - the usual GTA stuff. Can anyone tell me if they have done the same and where they bought their gear? Thanks

I have used Steve at Alternative Autos before (http://www.alfa156.net/fr_index.html?/alternativeautos.html).  Also EB Spares (http://www.ebspares.co.uk/alfa156/clutch_alfa156.cfm), but beware the AUD isn't what it used to be, I got a Q2 over here from one of these two suppliers many years ago and it came in under the $1000 GST threshold, no chance now.

Cheers
Stuart

Thanks Stuart will look at those! Probably going for either the 330mm front brake upgrade or the eibach suspension kit too. Have you done those upgrades as well? I found the brake kit at a german site alfisti.com for 1200 euros, so about $1900. They also have a bunch of suspensions kits from lowering springs to adjustable coilover jobs. Will be daily driving with the occasional track day

Autolusso are very good to deal with and are highly experienced. They sell the Quaiffe diffs which are a bit more nicely machined than the Alfa Q2. I bought mine from them three years ago and it came with the bearings and arrived very quickly. It's a pity the exchange rate is not as good as it was then, but it is an essential mod to do on any GTA or GT. The cars drive superbly with one fitted.

Hi, a chap in canberra has offered me a 330mm brembo kit - the alfa one, from a gta he is parting. if that falls through i will get in touch! I don't know anything about lancia discs or maserati calipers :) I assume they all work together ok? I notice you're in Brisbane, I live there too but currently I'm in Melbourne for the next 4 months

Yeah it should fit 1 on 1. I havent tried yet haha. Only need to drill the boltholes in the calipers slightly bigger then its all bolt-on fit. They say...

Haven't there been one or two GTA wrecks floating around. I would start with them.
