I have recently fitted some Ronal A1's to the car but the existing wheel nuts do not fit properly. The fitter suggested I source some better suited ones and I can see why. Where the flaired end meets the tapered section is being ground down by the wheel. Not a great thing...

I have not been very successful in finding some locally in Melbourne. I found the sort of replacement I am looking for in the UK but would prefer to buy locally if possible.

Does anyone know where I can find these or very similar? Thanks

Darryl

I needed some tapered wheel nuts in a difficult size for some alloys - after much being stuffed about by Supercheap and Repco I ended up going to a decent tyre and wheel place and told them what I wanted, they had to order them in but didn't charge much and got the right parts - and threw them on the car for me gratis (slow arvo..).

When I worked at Sprint Auto Parts here in SA, we had a big catalogue with a huge range of wheel nuts and studs in it.

I think, as well as the suggestion of the local tyre place, a good independent spare parts place should be able to get them for you. They should probably still have the same or similar catalogue.

Go to bursons, they deal with "Nice Products" - they'll have the nuts you need in the catalog.

I had tried Burson's as well as Repco Cheap Auto. No one had the 'bulge' style I needed. I had also tried a few tyre 'specialists' like Bridgestone (where I had bought the tyres to go with them and Bob Jane. A tip off from a board member led me to an independent wheel shop who directed me to Mr Lugnut - http://www.mrlugnut.com.au/lugnuts.html

I have placed an order so will report when I have them installed.
