huge fight where 101/105 accused RJ of pure commercial gain
the real truth is what actually works
they should set up his cams on a standard car and then use CB's on the same car setup the same
and DYNO them because so far its been a case of "mine is bigger than yours"
with no evidence and a lot of conjecture
I will sportiva and then Ill do a dyno but I dont have Rj cams because I looked at the specs and
they are really only for injection short overlaps high lift
CB seem to be orientated for carbs longer overlap and shorter lift
at the end of it I think they acheive the same goal from different directions
I have carbs Ill try CB
you would think that someone somewhere would have done this in the last 50 years
and those 2 have been at it for years possibly 10

A number of people have had very good results with RJ's cams - he knows his stuff.
101/105 guy doesn't exactly have a lot of runs on the board in that regard. I typically filter his posts as "noise"...

yeh cheers strega
I know but I already have these and I like to stay
close to original as possible (autodelta)
if rjr came out in an alfa I would go for them and besides these are an easy fit ( 1.5 hrs)where
RJR cams  needs the head off and reliefs in the buckets he doesnt really do road cams
but makes great race cams for injected motors
cheers
So I gather after weeks  no one in australia has used C&B cams in particular 47s in their alfas

I had a set of CB35s in my old GTV many years ago. Not sure I ever really got that combo right though.
I have a vague recollection that CB47s were in the back of the Jim K book?

they would have been Alquati 35 or CB 53 Im guessing Alquati supposedly a very good cam
when set up
Have you still got them ?
Got an interesting response from Alfar7 in the US
he said Im right there is no difference between the autodelta 11mm ( note not the 10.6)
and the cb47 and the new C and B ASRsm2 and the AR CT2
All the same just different set ups
So Clearances go from 0.5mm IN to as low as 0.35mm and 0.55exh to 0.45mm
this changes duration from 30/70 to as high as 48/75
and the LC go from 110 to as low as `100
it seems ill go with 105LC  0.4 and 045 giving me about 41/71 set up
from all the calcs Hope this is right

Ah, yeah, sorry, you're right - Alquati A35s - was about 18 years ago now! Cams were in the car when I sold it - from what I heard it was then written off and used as a donor for the guys plastic bumper alfetta GTV.

Pretty much all the aftermarket cams run much tighter clearances than the factory cams - the factory cams have extended ramps to quieten down the tappet noise - I'm running 0.4 and 0.5 clearance (from memory) and it's still quite tappy. I'm currently running some cams I had ground to my spec - quite short duration to keep the driveability nice, but plenty of lift - has plenty of top end.
