Phillip Island Sprint Round 5 2016 July 2 SATURDAY

For those wondering, I will publish EF and SR near the end of May until Winton is nearly out of the way.

So watch this space then.

Just got reminded by a fellow competitor, while I can pretty much arrange anything and everything, I wasn't able to move the Federal election date.

So remember to do your postal vote before heading down to the Island for a great day of competition.

Maybe I can arrange a voting booth at check in.

Entry form and SR attached.

Be warned, if considering entering, enter early as I expect the event will fill out quickly and once full there is not much I can to do to help you.

Well, I can only say that the event is 90 odd% full, filled after only about 1 week since publication of EF and SR.

Only a few spots left.

If you blink, you will miss out.

Massive field entered for Phillip Island including around 40 Alfisti's entered.  Going to be a good one with lots to see.  A great mix of Alfa's and other Italian machineries.  Always a good event to catch up with many faces.
Come on down for a look see.

 Hi there all,
I note that all had a fantastic day at AROCA Phillip Island Sprint on Saturday, the weather held out and provided good track conditions
As I did my duties and walked through the paddock, I was amazed by all the fine machineries, all the Alfa's, MX5's, WRX's etc, including my favourite, the yellow classic Escort of Nick and Travis Chapman.  I was also able to catch up and chat with many.
I hope not much mechanical breakdown for many, but with my own car suffering a gearbox breakdown.  And no, I wasn't driving.
I will repeat my thanks to all the competitors:  the usual faithful Alfa members, all the many car club members who support AROCA, the usual big support by MX5 club and finally welcoming the WRX clubs from all over Australia who entered and support us to practice prior to their day on Sunday.  With all the support and entries, it made a huge field and a lot of track time was had.
With such a huge field, everything ran pretty much smoothly and this is thanks to the crew and they should be thanked.
The crew consisted of Ross Flood, Evan Bottcher, Tony Clare, Sheldon McIntosh, John Leworthy, Mick Aarons, John Marras, Joe Ardi, Charlie Glasser, Cheralyn (friend of Tom Bartley), several others who ran administration and many others who ran scrutineering.  Without these folks the day would not have been so smoothly run and enjoyed by all the competitors.
With much regards I thank all entered and helped.
Hope to see you at our next events.
Neil
