Looks absolutely stunning. It would be unsettling to see that car in your rear vision mirror.
Hope the police dept. is cut a deal on replacement clutch plates.

Good to see the local police have one when the local car industry ceases production in 2017, they are already evaluating replacements for the Commodore and Falcon pursuit cars from Chrysler, Audi and Mercedes, to name a few, one of the requirments is a full size spare wheel, not a piddly space saver thats in vogue at the moment, Colin.

I was next a police car at the lights this morning -- a Camry hybrid.  I know other states have them but it just looks completely wrong after the Commodore.

As a Police chaser what they need is a Tesla
out of the pocket quick as they get and you can charge your taser as you go and maybe a real big taser on the front of the car so you can short out the car your chasing
But that would be Australia.. Italy well they already have Lambos so why not a twin turbo Giulia

It would be brilliant to have the local filth in Giulia's. They could form a special stolen vehicle/anti hoon/rapid response squad, and call themselves the Caraboganieri ...

Be carefull out there in Victoria, as the Alfa Club went to a Alfa Dealer for a workshop visit, and there was a Giulietta in the workshop being serviced, it was one of about 10 of a job lot for the police for plain wrapper use for patrol work, unless you can outrun a 1700 twin clutch, then behave, Colin.

Can you imagine the screaming match that occurred at morning muster when the duty Sargent asked for volunteers to do the special drivers course to be one of the few to drive the Giulia! The bun fight that ensued would have been hysterical, and all in Italian . . . . picture it in your head.

Haha...it probably was...though back in the day (1962) when the police were given a FERRARI it wasn't first in best dressed...it was who was quickest...turns out a Sicilian policeman was chosen...after his great speed in the test drive and subsequently he refused Enzo's request to join the racing team...saying he was a policeman first!

I was wondering the other day as I passed a couple of divvy vans at an incident, what will replace the Commodore divvy vans?  Hiluxes?  Marc Vitos like the ambulances?  Off topic I know, but an interesting question.

I've seen an awful lot of Mustangs on the road out my way since they began importing them. Common as muck. So maybe they'll run a few of them for pursuit duties. Not much good for throwing drunks in the back seat though.

More likely they'll kit themselves out with bloody Aurions. I'd rather see them in Volvo Polestars...

Actually, that might be difficult - I forgot Toyota was stopping local production so I bet that will be the end of the V6 Camry.
