Hi everyone,

I've read a number of threads across different Alfa forums on this topic, but none match my seat details.  I can't get the headrest off my front seats in my 1977 Alfetta 1.8 sedan.  There's no knob on the backrest near the top, and the back panel does not remove, and there's nothing like a pin at the base of the headrest posts, so most of what I've read doesn't appear to apply.  SURELY the headrests are adjustable & removable!

The holes of the headrest are bigger than the posts going into the headrest, and when you push like crazy, you can see a paperclip clip like thing around the post, but I don't know what to do after that.  I've attached a few photos, including a crappy blurry shot to try & show the post into the head rest.

Like everyone else that posts a thread like this, I want to put seat covers on to protect the genuine vinyl upholstery from the sun!

Thanks in Advance for any sage advice.

Cheers/Ciao,

Richard.

Thanks Sportiva.  You're spot on, the headrest posts are threaded.  I'd never have thought of that.

I've attached a photo for any other followers.

Thanks again - great help.

Cheers,
