116 choke cable

Has anyone replaced a choke cable in a gtv 1982,it looks like maybe a dash out to get at the cable clamp, any  help welcomed, cheers.

From memory, it is, which means steering wheel off as well

Is it required? Mine is disconnected (done by an Alfa specialist).
Now:
'84 GTV
'12 Nissan Navara D22

Then:

I find my old girl starts better with a little choke but getting to the clamp that holds the cable near the choke lever looks like hard work, cheers.
