V AR 164

I went to the Giulia QV launch at Brighton Alfa just this Wednesday in which I am somewhat impressed.

It's actually quite smaller in person than I would have thought, it has a low roof line and doesn't suffer too much of the 'newer car, bigger car' theme. The front grill is huge and definately makes a statement. I still reckon they could have made it look so much better though.

I can criticise that there is NO rear leg room and hardly nothing in the way of headroom. This also was the case with the very small boot. Plus there not being an option for a manual gearbox is very disappointing, so much for going back to their roots with 'a drivers car'.

Seeing it up close myself yesterday, it looked like almost a cm by cm match for the 156 - I don't have much rear legroom either!

Then again, I've only ever had rear passengers half a dozen times, so if I'm lucky enough to get a Giulia someday, my response would be "not my problem." ;D

That "truth about cars" 'article' contains more than one inconsistency / contradiction.

The new Giulia is now a very high profile car and methinks more than one tosser will use this for their own benefit!

Well said Colin, I can think of at least another two in this very thread...
The Alfa Romeo heritage "rinascimento" (renaissance) continues in each and every new model...the first "rinascimento" being 1915.
