no prior to 1972 they had double barrell carb and normal exhaust ie no headers

According to my parts book, this carburetor was used on spider engines up to 1315.45854,but doesn't give an engine number(spider normale) for when Alfa began using the Solex C35 APAI-G on spiders.Again, according to this parts book(11/61)the smaller carburetors,Solex C.32 BI,C.32 BIC,C.32 PBIC,and 32 PAIAT were used on Berlinas',T.I.s',and sprints.BUT,over forty years ago I had a 56' spider that had a one-piece cast iron exhaust manifold, and "I think" a small carburetor, but I'm not sure.I hope someone chimes in.

Just to keep the record straight and not trying to sound like a smart arse, all US market 1750's used SPICA.  From mid-'68.  The last US market Alfa's with carbies were the 1600's.
Alister

Giulia 1300 TI (105.39) 1965-1972; 200,000 built. Slightly nicer version of the 1300 Berlina, now with five-speed. Highest production numbers by far. Still two headlights, Spartan interior, and single carb as on 1300 Berlina, but slightly better performance with 82 HP. 4.56 rear axle. Introduced three-spoke black plastic steering wheel. Also in RHD form with different tipo number (105.40).

Ok Guys
The only way to get to the bottom of this is to verify via the engine number. If it is still buried at the back of the container, then we can only speculate.

Guys
Further to me earlier post, Rigi has identified that the engine is definitely a 1750 (refer to post dated 28 Aug 2017). Apologies for any confusion.
