1972 ADR 22 Head Rest versus 1973 GT Junior

I'm looking for a bit of conformation before I purchase some Seat Covers.

I have a March 1974 Australian Complied GT Junior it has Head Rest mounted front seats.   They have been recovered with velour material at one stage.

It is my opinion that the vinyl covered rear seat is correct for the car, however it is vertically pleated, and flat along the top.

If the front seats were correct for the car and covered in vinyl I imagine that they would require the horizontally pleated style of seat cover.

The compliance plate is stamped with 22.  From my limited understanding that means that it complies with the ADR for Head Rests.

Does any one have an opinion or a similar circumstance in their car?

I'm not sure what the question is here.

However, my '73 1600 GT Junior (Aust.) has the same style of front seat, ie. With the headrest
Both front and back seats on my car has been recovered.

I imagine the correct original seat covers would have been vinyl, leather was an option in some markets though.  Have a look at the period brochures and handbooks (I don't have mine handy at the moment)

I guess my question is.
What was the appearance of the trim in an Australian Delivered GT Junior 1600?
The requirement for Head Rests was more or less specific to Australia at that time.   I assume if you had ordered one for the European market it would not have had Head Rests.

I believe all 1600 Juniors had 2000 GTV style front seats with headrests by 1973 regardless of Country.

Australian ADR pretty much follows EU/UK
ALFA will do the minimum to meet ADR

the wooden headrests are std for all markets, the only change that meets Aust. compliance is the addition of an pointless ugly Al plate under the intake filter listing the ADR rules..
