Gotta love this forum.  The owner tells me the car sold within 24 hours of me placing this listing for him!  Congrats to the new owner.  We hope to see you and the car back on the road ASAP and at AROCA WA events

Hi Fellow Alfa Owners,

I am now one of you having purchased the the 105 shown.

I was not expecting to purchase one that needed so much work, however after inspecting a number for sale I thought this one would suit my needs.

It is very original with its log book  and the Alfa maintenance book.    The body is good with rust only around the fuel tank rim, and on both sides of the bottom A pillar.    I do not know how water gets into the boot as the boot lid rim and seals and fuel neck seal are in good condition!

My first job is to purchase a mig welder and tackle the rust, this is a job I have done on many other Fiats so I know what I am in for.

As I have a preference for a blue body with a tan interior I will eventually give her a new dress (as my wife calls it - I think that so she can get one too at the same time - I suppose thats fair!)

I will look at options for the interior, either source second hand tan seats and trim, or purchase retrim covers and get them fitted.

I am hoping to be able to clean the head lining, anyone have a good solution for this?

I will also be eager to see if the old girl will start after sitting idle for a number of years, does anyone have good tips on how to do this or is it a case of new battery, fuel and keep turing it over in hope it fires!

This is the start of many hours of work in the garage until I can get her registered and then do a rolling restoration on the other bits.   I will keep those that are interested updated on my progress and look forward to advice from those members that have been there done that.
