916 Alfa Spider central locking is not working

Hi,
My series 3 Spider key FOB light stopped flashing 2 days ago and the central locking was not working, I replaced the battery and now when I press the black button the key only flashes once and still the central locking is not working. Has any had this issue with their Key Fob.

Try this first and see how you go
"Place the key into the ignition barrel in the on position, but do not start. Then alternate the open and close buttons several times and this often sorts it out".

Hi Bonno, I tried as per your instructions but still not working.

The light on the key flashes only once each time I press the black button.
Is the light supposed to flash continuously when you hold the key black button down.

Try sticking the key in the door, when car is locked, then press and hold the unlock button on the fob whilst turning the key to unlock. Keep it held for a second longer. The red light in the door now should start flashing. Hopefully this works or it is a trip to the dealer I am afraid.

Take battery out of key and wait 30 minutes, put battery back in key, wait 5 minutes, try key remote.

If remote does not work, start car for 30 seconds, take key out, wait a few minutes & try & lock car with remote.

If this does not work it will need to be re-synched to car.
