Hello all .
Not quite sure how to start , I'm looking for a 3.0 V6 24 valve Busso engine to put in my Lexus IS200.
This engine is one of the very few that meets my preferences !!
Initially I intended to just buy a running GTV take what I want , cut  the front of the gearbox bellhousing off to make an adapter to go on the IS 6 speed and wreck the rest of it .
This would give me everything I could possibly need for the swap and I would get a fair proportion of my money back for the left over bits .
Being a bit older I would rather not do it this way even though it would probably work out to be the cheapest way .
I'm loath to cut up a perfectly good gearbox.
I'm sure there are some blown gearboxes out there in a shed somewhere ?
Equally I'm sure there are also some engine blocks lying around ready to receive some love also ?
I realize this will mean I will be running around for things like engine looms , ECU flywheel etc etc but rather this than destroying a perfectly good car .
I have a spare rolling chassis to set it all up in so have the time to be patient.
This is my go to work and back car so budget is an issue LOL
Can anybody help with sourcing any of this ?
