Help with checking the oil level

Hey guys I have a guilletta q.v and I changed the oil before and on many other cars but this time I over filled. The oil anyway I noticed I had over filled it and released some from the sump anyway after I let it settle for 20mins i rechecked it and noticed it was 3/4 full on one side and just a little over half on the other side so I thought that's perfect so I left it anyway I drove to work and back which is about 120kms round trip let it sit over night checked it today and it shows that it is over full and I am completely lost to why this is wondering what to do now I mean my street might have a slight lean but nothing to dramatic any advice would be great help
